Make Beekeeping More Accessible.
We're working to create the internet's best free beekeeping resources for beekeepers of all skill levels, filled with as much information as possible related to anything beekeeping. Our articles include perspectives from around the world, organized into widely-accepted principles as well as less-common practices. We rely on expert opinions, beekeeping groups, as well as author experience for our articles, and regularly update them as new methods are adopted.
Like much of the internet, today's beekeeping world is full of misinformation, impostor syndrome, and sketchy solutions to problems every beekeeper faces. Beekeeping is also incredibly local, and the best solution for one beekeeper might not be the best solution for another. Instead of determining one solution to be the most correct, we focus on compiling common, creative, and innovative practices and organizing them for you based on what you hope to achieve. Because the internet should help your hobbies, not hinder them.
Intelligent Hive Management Software
Our new Hive Hub allows beekeepers to track each of their colonies, down to the weekly inspections and daily observations. We integrate intelligent tools along with helpful feedback reminders, fine-tuned, tested and approved by actual beekeepers, in order to best assist with tracking your hives, be it one or one thousand.
Mentors For Beginners + Expert Support
Often the first piece of advice novice beekeepers receive is to find a mentor. But where do you even start? Who do you reach out to? How do you know that they're worth their salt? Even if you're lucky enough to have a mentor local to your area who's well-informed, it can still be a hassle to have to wait for their advice or assistance when dealing with your bees. Online groups are a start, but sifting through the information overload in addition to snarky, sarcastic comments means wasted time and a major headache.
A common saying in beekeeping is "for every question, there are 5 answers, and for every answer, 5 more questions." Obviously, this makes for a hard time when trying to make a decision between splitting your hive or letting it swarm, or when exactly to harvest your honey or treat for mites. We recognize the cause for confusion, and that's why we've partnered with expert beekeepers around the globe to help educate and provide assistance to beekeepers of all backgrounds. Even if you just want to chat, our experts check in regularly and are always available to help!
